How Has Equestricare Benefited My Horses?

Obviously polocrosse is a very physical and high contact sport for the horses. I know it makes my muscles sore so I can only imagine what they must feel like! I saw an advert for Equestricare when I first started looking into having them worked on and I'm really glad I made the call. Jessica has done some fantastic work on all our horses, from big problems like corks and deep bruising to the sports massages before they play. She worked with our old gelding 'Silverbug' after he received a really heavy cork, something we thought would put him out for about 4 weeks but a couple of sessions with Equestricare and he was back on the paddock in a couple of weeks!! The Sports Massages have been a fantastic way of picking up any little niggly problems they may have as well as just making them feel stretched and supple before a hard weekend of polocrosse! Jess worked on all our horses before the Australian National Championships. It has been really beneficial to have her continue to work with the same horses as well so we can keep track of improvements in any reincurring issue or any new problems that may come up. I was really pleased to be a successful applicant for one of the Sponsored Rider positions Equestricare is offering and highly recommend using this treatment for all horses, no matter what your discipline. I'm looking forward to working with Jess and also using more of the products on offer.

2010 Report – Jodi Tiver – Sponsored Equestricare Rider

The 2010 year was a huge one for both myself and my horses with the Australian National Polocrosse Championships being held in Ballarat, Victoria and also selections for the 2011 World Cup Australian Team. Jess and the Equestricare Team were a huge part in helping get my 2 ASH mares, Kelly Fraser and Stoneage Giggle, ready for the big trek across the country and the work that went in to them prior to leaving plus the products I used on the way over helped them travel comfortably and arrive as fresh as possible.

I was part of the WA Women’s Team competing at the Nationals and this would actually be the first time I had played Kelly competitively, so nerves were certainly high! After a week of competition though we defeated NSW in the final and retained the Australian Champion’s title for our State! I used the Herb-Gel to rub in to areas that become stiff while travelling as well as areas where there is the most impact during the game, and also the Thinline Cobra Boots during training sessions and practices.

Further in to the year, our performance at the Nationals was enough to gain me selection into the Australian Squad for the 2011 World Cup and after further selection trials I was selected in to the final team which will travel to the UK this year to defend Australia’s title as the World No 1 Polocrosse nation.

Throughout the 2010 WA season and with continued work from the Equestricare Team, Kelly was awarded the Champion Ladies Australian Stock Horse at the 2010 State Championships and the following weekend Giggle also won and Champion Ladies ASH award at the Kojonup Tournament. Our other horses also benefited from Equestricare with my husband and his horse Edenhope Pichachoo winning the Open Mixed competition at the State Champs, of which my brother and his horse Chopper were also a part of and they were given the Overall Champion Horse award for that grade also – a HUGE weekend for our horses!!

Our younger horses that have begun some treatments also achieved some great things with my mare Rebecca Fraser winning the 2010 WA Polocrosse Overall Champion Rookie Ladies ASH Award and Stoneage Slips winning the Overall Champion 4yr Old Maturity at the ASH Champs.

All in all it was a hugely successful year, I am certainly looking forward to continuing my partnership with Equestricare and using the wonderful products and treatments.
